A Happy Thanksgiving Post: Old Ideas Make Great New Ones

Hey Everybody! I bet those of you that are in the U.S. are gearing up for Thanksgiving, and what says "Happy Thanksgiving" more than Batman, right? I originally came up with this idea 19 months ago, but I guess I wasn't ready for it yet. I came across it recently and I looked at it in a completely different way. It was crystal clear in my head. It's amazing how ideas you once came up with simply don't inspire you until some times passes.

So don't throw any away, because you never know what time might bring.

I want to thank each and everyone one of you for supporting the Tanoshiboy Chronicles this year. I never imagined this little project would go from a daily sketch blog to what its become today. I couldn't have done it without all my followers and readers, so thank you very much. My very best to you and yours.

Dennis Salvatier (Tanoshiboy)

P.S. Here you'll see the original thumbnail and sketch.

I like it but I like the sketch idea of it just Batman and the bat silhouette with white around it. Makes a great book jacket.

Thats what I didn't want it to look like. =) Too much empty space doesn't work for me.

I agree with Rouge dude, but I think completely washing out the background would be a bit harmful to the composition. How about just a bit of rim lighting behind the bat symbol.

Love seeing ideas come to fruition.

I have a couple of idea folders. Although they are not drawings they are ideas that have great possibilities. Some times the other parts that are needed just show up.

Thank you for sharing your art with us. And your think behind it.

I think it looks perfect as is, and I agree that it would make a great book jacket. It's also cool to see how the idea evolved from concept to finished product. Great work.
